About

Libby Carew launched her public relations consultancy in 2011 after more than 15 years working both the corporate and agency sides of public relations, communications and branding.

Libby provides a full range of services you’d expect from a large agency. She spent six years working as a public relations consultant at Toronto’s premier boutique agency, Holmes PR where her clients included Merrill Lynch HSBC, CBC-TV, Random House (Debbie Travis), Bulldog Group and the Tom Green Show. When she moved to St. John’s in 2004, she became involved in technology PR where she pioneered high profile media campaigns for Consilient Technologies. In 2007, as their Director of Marketing, she received the President’s Award for exceptional performance by an employee.

She has developed and executed public relations and marketing campaigns for start-ups, large companies, tourism operators and Crown corporations. Past projects include work for the Research & Development Corporation (RDC), Bluedrop Performance Learning, Genesis Centre, Fishers’ Loft, Maxxim Vacations and Verafin.

In addition, Libby Carew provides branding and website development services and has brought new brands to life including, the Research & Development Corporation (RDC) and Petroleum Research Newfoundland and Labrador.

She partners with the best photographers, project managers, designers and developers who are assembled into a team based on the specific needs of a client. This gives clients access to top talent, but at the same time reduces the overall project costs.

She holds a BA and BEd from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed coursework in Public Relations at Ryerson University and the Université de Pau, France. She is a member of the International Sommelier Guild and holds certificates in Wine Fundamentals – Level I and II.
